Always on full alert, Lara is awakened suddenly by the sound of a distant vehicle. She looks at the position of the moon and stars and extrapolates how long she has been asleep – around 4 hours.

There can’t be that many people driving through the desert at 3am. Lara bolts upright and takes out her night vision binoculars, anxiously scanning the horizon. As the sound grows closer, Lara tries to guess in which direction the vehicle is. Eventually, she sees a fast-moving jeep round a large rock off the main road.

Coincidence? Lara doubted it. She scrambles into the front seat to drive away, but the engine, never the most reliable, splutters ineffectively. The vehicle won’t start. And the jeep is getting closer all the time.

Lara jumps from the vehicle, grabbing her backpack and making sure she has her pistols and plenty of ammo. She runs to the nearest cave entrance to hide, knowing whomever was coming would guess where she was, but also knowing she has no choice.

If she’s very lucky, the approaching people will be random tourists, not enemies. But Lara never was very lucky…

Yeah, still can’t do it. After some of the reviews I’ve read I think I’ll give it a miss for now and concentrate on finishing my Tomb Raider 3 walkthrough. I don’t have oodles of time and have a lot of websites to maintain, so I’m working on it when I manage to get a few minutes. 🙂

There is also JoyToKey – this used to be free, now you need to pay a small amount for the software. However, it’s very simple to use, and it’s my second choice for my older games:

I’m in the process of updating Tomb Raider I again! My daughter is helping me by playing the game as I go through it, so hopefully it will be easier to follow than ever! 🙂

Isn’t it strange that some of the oldest games with the poorest graphics have the best gameplay? Dino Crisis gave me more jump-scares than any other game I’d played up until that time! I still have nightmares about that T-Rex! lol

But keeping on-topic, we have all of the Spyro games, and all of the old ones are the best – i.e. 1, 2 and 3 for the PlayStation. The more modern games, such as the Spyro and Tomb Raider series, just get more and more violent, with unnecessary bad language – what’s that all about?

I agree, I don’t like sites with dark backgrounds, something which most gaming websites have. I’m in the process of updating the site again, and may at some later date have the option for members to be able to choose which theme they prefer.
